What attracted you to the Clinical Mental Health Counseling (CMHC) Program at WVWC?
I have always loved WVWC and wanted to return. I was impressed by the goals and focus of the program and continue to admire the dedication to developing excellent counsellors that the faculty displays.
What do you like most about the CMHC Program?
I love the focus on social justice and how emotionally intelligent the faculty is.
Why do you want to go into the counseling field?
Mental health struggles have affected me personally in many ways and avenues. As a child, I knew that more mental heath resources were important to my community, especially outpatient since community support is a higher indicator of success than just inpatient admissions.
Anything else you’d like us to know?
I am eager to begin the program and develop the skills I need to be an effective and transformative counsellor for my community.
