Musical Ensembles to Perform the Annual Fall Choral Concert
The West Virginia Wesleyan College’s choral ensembles, Wesleyan Singers, Concert Chorale and Concentus Vocum, will present their annual fall choral concert with a program titled “No One Is Alone” on Sunday, November 13 at 3 p.m. in Wesley Chapel.
Under the direction of Dr. R. Dan Hughes, director of musical ensembles and associate professor music, members of Concentus Vocum will break into smaller ensembles performing works that typically have one to two people singing each voice part. The groups will offer various German part songs, Latin Renaissance motets, English madrigals, and a couple of other surprises. Wesleyan Singers will join too, singing selections by Badarak and Chilcott.
The Concert Chorale will be performing works for their upcoming fall tour to New York City, December 14-18, featuring works by Conte, Gjeilo, Daley, Mäntyjärvi, and many others.
The concert is free and open to the public.
