This Cathedral is a church infamous for its architectural beauty and design. and the Cathedral was also the workplace for many important 14th-16th century musicians and composers such as Giovanni Gabrielli, Adrian Willaert, Claudio Monteverdi, and Baldassare Galuppi, who served as maestro di cappella, or orchestra leader. The concert features works which relate to this space in many different ways.
The Wesleyan Singers are a mixed ensemble of singers open to any who desire to sing in a group at Wesleyan. The Concert Chorale is a large auditioned mixed ensemble group of singers, while the Concentus Vocum is a select ensemble auditioned group of singers from the members of the Concert Chorale.
