Admissions to Hold 25th Annual Orange & Black Scholarship Recognition Day
The Office of Admission at West Virginia Wesleyan College will hold the 25th annual Orange & Black Scholarship Recognition Day on Saturday, February 20 on the Buckhannon campus. This special event is open only to students that have been accepted for the 2016 fall semester.
This special day of recognition helps accepted students learn how their achievements can be nurtured and enhanced at Wesleyan. The program will include a presentation on various aspects of the College, a tour of the 100-acre Georgian campus, meetings with faculty in all areas of interest, and extensive interaction with current Wesleyan students.
“Orange and Black Day is our premier event for accepted students,” stated John Waltz ‘01, vice president for enrollment management. “In a day unlike standard college visitations, students will truly experience why Wesleyan is such a special college home by interacting with faculty, students, and all facets of WVWC. The banquet is truly an event our graduates even remember long after their time in College.”
The program begins at noon with registration and a Student Life fair. Students who have been formally invited to the Honors Program overview will need to be on campus by 11:30 a.m. The formal schedule concludes with a banquet during which students will be recognized as guests of honor. Following dinner, students are invited to stay overnight on campus with a current student.
