Rev. Ted Anderson to Speak at Homecoming Chapel Service
The Reverend Ted Anderson ’74 will be the guest speaker at West Virginia Wesleyan College’s Homecoming chapel service. The service will take place on October 19 at 10:30 a.m. in Wesley Chapel.
Currently, Rev. Anderson is the District Superintendent of the Genesee Valley District of the United Methodist Church and Conference Youth Coordinator for the Upper New York Conference of the United Methodist Church. He was the Jurisdictional Youth Coordinator for the Northeast Jurisdiction of the United Methodist Church 1988-1992 and 2004-2008. In this capacity, he traveled to the People’s Republic of China, the Soviet Union, and Eastern Europe with the Mission of Peace.
Rev. Anderson has also served on the National Youth Ministry Organization steering committee and on the advisory team for Youth 91 and Forum 92. Currently he is the Mission of Peace Coordinator for the Northeastern Jurisdictional Council on Youth Ministries. In addition, he has journeyed with the Mission of Peace to Zimbabwe, India, Nicaragua, South Africa, and Brazil.
