School of Business to Offer Graduate Certificate in Nonprofit Management
The Thomas H. Albinson II School of Business at West Virginia Wesleyan College is now forming a cohort of students to begin a graduate certificate in nonprofit management in fall 2015. To earn the certificate, students will complete four, three-credit MBA courses related to nonprofit management. The certificate may be completed over one calendar year or two academic years. On-line and face-to-face options will be provided.
The graduate certificate in nonprofit management focuses on increasing the effectiveness of nonprofit operations and improving the knowledge and skills of nonprofit professionals. Topics covered include budgeting and fundraising, volunteer and staff management, marketing, planning and organizing, grant-proposal writing, outcomes evaluation, and more. Through coursework and collaboration with other learners, cohort members will develop skills, increase their confidence, and access a network of professional support.
To be eligible, applicants need only an undergraduate degree in any field and a desire for personal and professional growth. For additional information or to enroll, contract Dr. Susan Aloi at firstname.lastname@example.org or 304-473-8580.
