Impact Day

Tuesday, April 8, is the date set aside on the 2014 Academic Calendar as a day dedicated to celebrating community.  So that all members of our Wesleyan campus can engage in a variety of meaningful activities, classes will not be in session that day.

All members of the Wesleyan community are welcome to participate in IMPACT Day. Join us by supporting the Parish House food drive, or be creative and make a peace flag.  Come to the Chapel portico and watch visiting Environmental Artist Jessica Levine construct a sculpture from Wesleyan recyclables – plastic, aluminum, cardboard and paper - collected over the past three weeks.

See the schedule below for activities, times and locations.

For the past several weeks teams have been signing up to participate in IMPACT Day activities with a total of 66 teams participating. Each team is comprised of students and/or faculty and staff. The teams will begin the day with pre-assigned activities that include Dirty Jobs – campus beautification projects; Hosting a KIDS team - 360 elementary school children from Rock Cave, Union and Buckhannon Academy will visit campus for a morning of fun and interactive activities; and Leading a KIDS team activity.  The teams will compete for IMPACT Day points beginning with registration in the morning and continuing throughout the day.
