275 - GA - Graduate Residence Director/Judicial Affairs

The Campus Life Office at West Virginia Wesleyan College is accepting applications for a Graduate Residence Director/Judicial Affairs Graduate Assistantship. 

Responsibilities include:

  • managing a 150 person residence hall with a staff of RA’s 
  • sharing weekly duty with professional staff;
  • adjudicating individual and organizational judicial cases
  • developing educational sanctions, interventions, and programs
  • following up with students regarding sanction completion
  • planning and executing training sessions for the College Judicial Board, working closely with the Director of Campus Life, Residence Life Coordinators, the Office of Campus Safety & Security, the College Judicial Board, and local police authorities
  • coordinating sanction completion efforts with community agencies and College offices; researching and reporting on student judiciary issues as needed
  • assisting in yearly assessment of the conduct process, including use of surveys, focus groups, and personal interviews
  • aiding with the maintenance of accurate and thorough records on all judicial cases
  • other special projects as needed.

A bachelor’s degree, residence life experience and a strong interest in judicial affairs are required. The successful candidate will have strong organizational and time management skills and enjoy interacting with students. 

Compensation will include room and board as well as a stipend. The selected applicant will also receive a tuition waiver for the MBA, MS.N. or M.Ed. program contingent on acceptance into the program. The position begins August 1, 2015.
