Work Study Opportunities
Active in Community Engagement (ACE)
ACE is a program designed for students eligible for Federal Work Study (FWS) who are interested in working for an off-campus community organization. ACE provides opportunities for Wesleyan students to work on projects at the college and with local community agencies in return for financial assistance for their education. For more information about ACE, please contact LeeAnn Brown, Director of the Center for Community Engagement & Leadership Development (CCE), at firstname.lastname@example.org
Eligible students can earn up to $1,500 in return for their work. Students interested in ACE should contact Justin Haney in Financial Aid at email@example.com to determine Federal Work Study Eligibility. See the ACE flyer here.
ACE students must go to Financial Aid (located in the Administration Building) to complete the FWS paperwork so they can be approved to work. All the forms you will need are in the Financial Aid office.
The documents you must complete are:
- State income tax form
- Federal income tax form
- I-9 form (to prove citizenship.) To complete the I-9 form, you must present unexpired original documents to prove that you can work in the U.S. No copies or faxes are acceptable. A list of original documents that you can present is included on the last page of the Form I-9. Pick a document from column B and C or you can pick a standalone document from column A
