Letter from the Director
Students and Community,
I am truly honored to get the opportunity to restart the marching band at West Virginia Wesleyan College. The Bobcat Marching Band had its last existing season over 35 years ago and it’s time for this organization to come back to the College and surrounding community.
I will dedicate myself to will work hard alongside of the student members to build a unique entity in which the entire Wesleyan population of students, alumni, family, and friends can be proud to boast as their own. This band will keep academic standards and college life at its forefront so any student regardless of major, organization, or sport involvement can be a successful member of the band. As we start building our path I hope that every student with any interest will join us. Students will always be the heartbeat of the band! They don’t just provide the sound and visuals, but more importantly they will start an evolution of traditions that will hopefully outlive all of us.
Being hired as the Director of Bands at WVWC is very exciting for me. I look forward to being a part of the Colleges history in the restart of the marching band, but also in being involved in my other duties as the Concert Band Director and the studio professor for tuba and euphonium. The college has welcomed me with open arms so I intend to keep that tradition alive.
Please join us in the creation and evolution of the Bobcat Marching Band. All are welcome and many experiences are awaiting us. I look forward to meeting you all!
My sincere thanks,
Director of Bands
