The Wesleyan Fund
The Wesleyan Fund also provides scholarship support for students. Unlike endowed scholarship funds, 100% of the money secured for the Wesleyan Fund is immediately utilized to support students. The impact of these dollars is significant and meaningful in a given year. The Wesleyan Fund does not persist over time—but its impact is quite high. A $1,000 gift in support of the Wesleyan Fund provides the functional equivalent of a $20,000 endowed fund. Both are important, both are needed, and building both endowed and Wesleyan Fund scholarships are critical to our student success.

You Can Make a Gift to Wesleyan and Receive West Virginia Tax Credits
Wesleyan participates in the Neighborhood Investment Program. The College has been awarded $55,700 in WV Tax Credits through this program, which provides scholarships for students from Barbour, Braxton, Fayette, Gilmer, Greenbrier, Lewis, Nicholas, Pocahontas, Randolph, Tucker, Upshur, and Webster Counties that are at or below 125% of the federal poverty level.
You can make a donation of $500 or more and receive WV Tax Credits in addition to a federal tax charitable deduction and provide scholarship assistance to a deserving student. Tax credits are awarded at a rate of 50% of your donation. For example, a donation of $1,000 will result in WV Tax Credits of $500 and make you a member of The Wesleyan Society.
