Each year the United States Department of Education selects approximately one-third of all financial aid applications for a process called "Verification". If selected, the Financial Aid Office will send you a verification worksheet.
This is necessary to verify the accuracy of information submitted on the FAFSA. Students must submit all necessary documents to the Financial Aid Office. Failure to do this will result in cancellation of need-based financial aid until verification is complete. The Financial Aid Office will notify a student if, as a result of verification, the student's expected family contribution (EFC) changes and creates a change in the student's financial aid eligibility.
If you are unable to use the IRS Data Retrieval Tool (DRT), you must request Tax Return Transcripts.
