The goal of the nursing faculty is to prepare graduates to enter the profession of nursing as competent, safe practitioners who demonstrate critical thinking skills, effective communication and possess a sound foundation for graduate study in nursing.

Wesleyan's BSN program is fully approved by the West Virginia Board of Examiners for Registered Nurses, 101 Dee Drive Suite 102, Charleston, WV 25311-1620, telephone 304-558-3596.

The West Virginia State NCLEX pass rate for West Virginia Wesleyan College School of Nursing for 2015 is 100%.

The MSN program at West Virginia Wesleyan College is fully accredited by the Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing, Inc. (formerly NLNAC, National League for Nursing Accrediting Commission, Inc.), 3343 Peachtree Road, NE, Suite 850, Atlanta, GA 30326, (404) 975-5000, www.acenursing.org.

To date, the national certification pass rate for MSN and post-graduate APRN certificate students is 95%.

Shenandoah's Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner Program is accredited by the Commission of Collegiate Nursing Education.

WVWC's nursing program has a chapter of the Sigma Theta Tau Honor Society.
