Department of Sociology, Criminal Justice, and Political Science

The Department of Sociology, Criminal Justice and Political Science is committed to high quality instruction and student success. The programs of study prepare students for a variety of employment opportunities and/or graduate education.

Depending on your plan of study, as a student in our department you can expect to gain a broad understanding of how societies operate and the issues that impact our world, the political process, law, and crime and justice.

Students can choose to major or minor in Sociology, Criminal Justice, Social Justice, or Political Science. A pre-law program is also available.

Graduates of our programs are well prepared for graduate school, law school, and direct entry to public or private sector employment.
