Robert Hardin (2001) earned his Ph.D. in Physics at West Virginia University. His dissertation topic is plasma physics, to which he was introduced in Wesleyan's Electro-Optics Lab. Robert was an invited speaker at the Mid-Atlantic Undergraduate Research Conference. He works at Oak Ridge National Laboratory as a neutron spallation researcher.
Bobby Powell (2011) writes, “I have a new job as a Field Engineer at the Bechtel-Bettis Atomic Power Lab in West Mifflin, Pa. The Field Engineering Program leads to assignments at a variety of shipyards. We provide oversight of all aspects of submarine and aircraft carrier construction and maintenance. The program begins with a rigorous and comprehensive qualification program at Bettis involving nuclear reactor design and operation.”
Joe Zambelli works as a physical scientist at the National Energy Technology Lab in Morgantown, WV. He is studying methods of carbon sequestration to mitigate global warming.
Tyler Gruber completed his Ph.D. in Physics at Texas Christian University. Tyler works as a research physicist at Columbia Chemicals in Marietta, Georgia.
