Chip Pickering: Green engineering


     Alumnus A.L. “Chip” Pickering spoke about earth-friendly, environ-mentally sustainable construction technologies.

     His firm’s latest construction project is located at 12 Faith Meadows in Williamstown. This home will be the first LEED

Platinum house in West Virginia.    

    Pickering is an LEED Certified Advanced Practitioner for Building Design and Construction. He is the president of Pickering Associates, an architectural and engineering firm in Parkersburg.

     He holds a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from Wesleyan, an M.S. in Engineering Management from Marshall University, and a Ph.D. in Strategic Leadership from Ohio University.
